WILD CARD WEEKEND: Washington Redskins (9-7) vs. Seattle Seahawks (10-6), 3rd Quarter

6:28 ET: The Seahawks do nothing with the first drive of the second half. Now to see what adjustments the Redskins may have made.

6:35 ET: They made none. After a five play drive, they punt and Nate Burleson picks up another 18 yards on the return. Seattle is absolutely killing them on special teams, and the Redskins continue to be outplayed in every facet of the game.

6:38 ET: Jerry Mafuckinguire is in attendance. Redskins-Seahawks: the hottest ticket in Hollywood!

6:39 ET: There’s a big pass from Matt Hasselbeck to D.J. Hackett to put Seattle in field goal range. The Seahawks gained 35 yards on the play which is, in fact, the biggest play of the day.

6:41 ET: Hasselbeck is taking a beating today. He just had his legs taken out from under him by Fred Smoot as he scrambled but failed to pick up the first down. He was limping when he got up, which is understandable after that type of impact, but could become a concern, particularly with him already favoring his wrist and hand.

Meanwhile, Josh Brown boots another field goal to make it 13-0 Seahawks. We’re probably going to be seeing a lot of Shaun Alexander and Maurice Morris in the late third and early fourth quarters.

6:44 ET: The Redskins finally get a big return on a kickoff, but it’s called back because of a low block. This is one of the biggest disparities between special teams units that I’ve seen all year.

6:54 ET: With 38 seconds left in an uneventful third quarter, the Washington Redskins have reached the red zone following a 4th and 1 pass interference call on Brian Russell.

6:56 ET: And, on the final play of the third quarter, Deon Grant nearly intercepts Todd Collins after the quarterback makes a poor decision to throw to Santana Moss, who was surrounded in the back of the end zone.

END OF THIRD QUARTER: SEAHAWKS 13, REDSKINS 0
